In 1669,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Colbert decided to identify all the men available among seafarers - in classes. It was not until 1795 that we begin to speak of "maritime inscription" to designate these men who can be mobilized at sea (it will be removed in 1952).
