Translator: Deepl - A translator can be useful for civil status acts written in Polish, in Russian (from 1868 for the center and the east of the country), in German (in the region of Poznan and Wroclaw) or even in Latin (in Galicia).
Good to know:
Pour consulter les registres paroissiaux catholiques d’avant 1850, c’est aux archives diocésaines ou aux paroisses qu’il faut s’adresser. Pour les registres paroissiaux plus récents, toutes religions confondues, c’est auprès des « Archiwum Panstowowe » (archives nationales) qu’il faut se renseigner. C’est là que sont conservés les recensements, les actes notariés, le cadastre…
Les actes d’état civil de moins de 100 ans sont librement communicables pour les descendant auprès des « Urzad Stanu Cywilnego » (bureaux d’état civil).
