Good to know::
The outfit of the parish registers begins around 1545 with the Council of Trent. Thus, the holding of the baptism, marriage and burial registers will be imposed which will be kept in the parish in question. Since 1820, a double has been kept in the diocesan archives.
Within the diocesan archives, the census of the parishioners (Stato delle anime), by house, offers additional information.
As early as 1866, the holding of the civil status registers was gradually implemented. There is a copy of the deed in town hall and another in the court (by applying for the public prosecutor).
The population registers (di populazione register), kept by the town halls, lists, by house, family members with their dates of birth, marriage, death and other observations.
The emigration registers, kept by the town halls, identify the names, parentage and destination of people leaving the town.
