Generation Y: Millennials

Cultural reminders on generation Y (1980 - 2000)

Generation Y: Millennials

After X, it's Y! The generation of two team members, Guillaume and Lisa. Ah, the famous generation Y! We often hear about it, and for good reason, it detonates in the landscape, and appears as a major turning point in history as the first (and surely not last) generation affected by digital.

It is estimated that generation Y brings together people born between 1980 and 2000

Beyond this aspect of digital technology, one of the peculiarities of this generation is that it was not born in a period of world war, or unlike that of its parents was not impacted by these conflicts, and other cold wars. In general, there are two other characteristics not necessarily very glorious to this generation: they did not know the world without AIDS and were born in an era more and more Previous generations (who had heard of veganism or seen so many organic products on the shelves before our generation?)

Small cultural recall stitching

In the cultural field, generation Y has been rocked by video games, can cite the names of all possible and imaginable pokemons and spent hours in front of Dragon Ball Z by tasting lollipops covered with sparkling sugar while taking care of a Tamagotchi, the Pet 2.0. A large part of this generation also occupied its afternoons in front of the Dorothée club, a real touch not at my post of the time with its 8 hours of direct every Wednesday and its omnipresence television. They were niggled on the Spice Girls or Lou Bega and Larusso at the Hit Machine but also the start of rap with NTM, IAM and the legendary Dana group of the Manau group (in the Oh, Oh ... valley)

Generation Y also devoured Harry Potter (we are talking about purists who have also read books of course, the others shame on you), and cried/shouted/sautéed for the victory of France at the 1998 World Cup. This is what is called a rich generation! (And yes, we also say that because it is ours!)
